- Assessment of the manufacturer's date to determine if a 6-year maintenance or 12-year hydrostatic test is required for the extinguisher.
- Removal and inspection of hoses or nozzles, checking for wear and tear and ensuring they are clear of obstructions.
- Verification of proper weight according to the manufacturer's specifications on the nameplate, ensuring the extinguisher meets the required standards.
- Replacement of existing safety seals, checking the smooth operation of pull pins, and installing new safety seals as necessary.
- Inversion of cylinders and gentle agitation of chemicals to ensure proper mixing and readiness.
- Confirmation of the appropriate type and size of extinguisher for the specific location and type of hazard.
- Thorough inspection of brackets, ensuring proper installation and the presence of appropriate signage.
- Installation of new certification tags containing the month, year, details of the service performed, type of extinguisher, and the name of the servicing personnel.
